Here’s the scoop: Woofstock, and Canadian Pet Expo (formerly All About Pets Show) are consumer-based shows emphasizing companion animals as family. Both have a social media fan following on Face Book, Woofstock with 26,239, Canadian Pet Expo with 9,907 followers to date.

What sets them apart?  Woofstock is singular. It’s a festival for dogs and their humans. Canadian Pet Expo is a pet expo of reptiles, snakes, birds and cats and dogs. Woofstock has participatory programs for dogs and their humans to take part in– from fun contests to a lure course. Both are family friendly and have a designated children’s activity area.  Woofstock’s Children Village includes a story telling program with prize giveaways of the latest Film and Broadway Star Nathan Lane’s children’s book Naughty Mabel from Simon & Schuster Canada.

Woofstock offers free admission for children under twelve and dogs any age (no waiver required) and $10 for a weekend pass. $12.00 at door.

Canadian Pet Expo offers free admission for children under five. Pets are welcomed (waiver required) and $10.00 for day passes.
