On Sunday, May 29, 2011 – Pre-Woofstock ( June 11 & 12, 2011) held its annual kick-off, with a celebrity guest “Lady Gaga” a Toronto-based look-alike. The event at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel was hosted by the lovely, and VERY, VERY funny comedian Nikki Payne.
More than 60 canines arrived with their humans to take part in a best-dressed wannabe-celebrity ‘pup-cultured’ Look-Alike contest. The wonderfully-dressed sillies included: my fave, a wide-eyed pug done-up to resemble Justin Bieber, and a tiny thingie, okay a Yorkie, as Victoria Secret Model Heidi Klum, decked out in pink lingerie with attached wings–visually pretty.
There was Michael Jackson, Gaga, Modonna, Kate & William.
The grand winner was Loki, a mastiff dressed as Natalie Portman’s Black Swan.
