It’s true. Torontonians are film buffs, and on the heels of TIFF, comes BarkFest!

It’s a pet-centric film festival hosted by New York-based Bark & Co. It screens at Harbourfront, North Exhibition Common–235 Queens Quay West, Toronto. 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.

Local cinephiles, the two and four-legged kind, will be treated to six selected short animated films, live action shorts and excerpts celebrating our longest relationship with woman’s best furry friend. The hot ticket is the Oscar nominated short Adam and Dog directed by Minkyu Lee, tells the story of the first man and his dog.

Also in the lineup: Shake, Directed by Carli Davidson, Dug’s Special Mission, Directed by Ronnie del Carmen, My Dog Tulip (excerpt) Directed by Paul and Sandra Fierlinger, Gerald’s Last Day, Directed by Justin and Shel Rasch, and Steadfast Stanley, Directed by John Cody Kim.

BarkFest was a hit in New York City this past July and Bark & Co., decided to bring the show on the road to dog-friendly Toronto. Its mission is to share a unique experience with you and your dog.  Movie-night doesn’t get any better.

So, bring your furry friend to snuggle up with you for an evening of movie magic.

Its a free admission event,  food and drink will be available on the grounds.
