Be among the first to see the independently made dog film ” Sniff” on the big screen coming to Toronto for two screenings only: the Royal Theatre on Sunday  Dec 13 at 4:00pm and Fox Theatre on Thursday, December 17 at 6:30 pm. There will be a pre-screening welcome by filmmakers Barry Stone and Kim Webster, with a Q & A to follow. All screenings will have an audio descriptive track that will be played at the theatre, or on i-pods supplied by the film-makers. Ten percent of proceeds from DVDs sold after the screening will support Canadian Guide Dogs for the blind.

Advance tickets are available at www.sniffthemovie.com Sniff is a family oriented hybrid of fiction and documentary. Veteran British actors Neil Morrissey and Richard Huw star as unemployed actors Neil and Richard, who travel from London to San Francesco to work as concierges at Infinite Paws, a high-end dog hotel by run Neil’s old flame Juliette (Amanda Plummer) and her husband Derek ( Maurice Godin). On the job Neil and Richard wear proper suits and giant dog masks, but during off-hours they make a documentary about dogs. Outgoing Neil favours heart-warming vignettes about dogs that skateboard and surf, but strait laced Richard is drawn to the heroic stories of guide dogs and search-and-rescue dogs.
